That's three fit-looking friends who I've brought to camp on Friend Day and three times I've damn near killed them or made them puke.

They may LOOK like they're more fit than me, but they can't hang with the FitWit Greg-a-licious. And that makes the morning workouts all worth it.

On a side note, I volunteered with my wife today to help put in a playground at the Edgewood Apartment complex near the Target and Lowe's. We were with more than 250 other volunteers.

Our primary job was shoveling and hauling a MOUNTAIN of mulch (165 cubic yards) and moving it to the actual playground.

About 2/3 of the way through that, I got tapped by one of the sponsors to help move 80 lb. bags of concrete. I kid you not, it was just like the exercise we did on Tuesday (The Sweet Sixteen). Only on Tuesday, I left the lifting of the big 80 lb. bag to Bryan.

Today, however, I couldn't hide and I carried dozens of those bags around the playground. Thankfully, FitWit had me prepared and I was able to do it.

I only tell you all of that to tell you this, don't be surprised if I sleep in tomorrow. My body is SORE! I'll be Gregging out on you!

Just another positive benefit of being in great shape Greg. Just think how much more difficult it would have been if you weren’t tossing around bags of sand, kettle bells and staying after class to knock out those extra pull up’s! Glad you decided not to “Greg” out on us this morning. Keep up the Good Work.

Thanks Greg. That's a testament to your hard work and the effectiveness of the FitWit program.

Check out an article I posted today on the forums.

Yeah, the pullups progress feels good, too. You and Greenbean were the main inspiration for that, but I'm impressed by Vwaaaa's effort, too. She keeps calling me out when I try to sneak off back to my car.

We need to see more people after class crowding around the pull up bars. When I first tried them, I could not do even one by myself and only knocked out the assisted ones because Josh started teasing me by talking about dook. Hatred is great motivation!

Slowly but surely, I was able to do more than one, but rarely ever more than three.

In the past couple of weeks, I was able to average about 4-5 in multiple sets.

This week I did 10 in a row for the first time followed by 9 in a row the second set.

People, if I can do it, YOU can do it. There is no more of an average-everyman-guy in camp with respect to fitness. (Now, I do pride myself as a better-than-average haiku-er and trivialist. But there's no prize for excelling in those two disciplines.)

I'm just saying, come Monday morning it would be neat to have some more fresh faces in the post-class pull up line! (If nothing else, it means more rest for me between sets!)

Have a great weekend. Hope to be able to break away to see you all at the party on Saturday.
