I look forward to the next few weeks. This is what I need to get in shape.

OK - Cotena is not a Newbie! Welcome to all you others. It may seem overwhelming now but stick with it. I came in not having exercised in 7 years and barely able to do 10 situps. Now, I am stronger and faster than I was at 14! Keep at it. You will be proud of yourself and we will be proud of you too. Dawn (aka Grandma)

As tough as it is, especially during this first week, just remember that you will make it!

We are all here to support you . . . so don't give up on yourself!

I'll post a 10-screen tome about FitWit later, but more pressing concern is tickets available for Jimmy Buffett this Thursday, June 5th at Lakewood. My friends and I will be "tailgating" all day out there. Come on out and enjoy the sun, suds and sounds. Tickets are face value. Not looking to profit! If interested, email me at:

Good advice, people.

Keep it coming!

Newbies - where are you?

Oh, harsh! I got called a newbie. :-) I know my attendance is erratic but surely I look a little familiar?! I have to say this week is off to a colorful start. :-) In only the first two days, I have skinned my tailbone raw with "speed" situps, bruised both forearms with the double kettle-bell squat thrusters, and made a grape-sized knot on my shin by battling it out with an orange barrier jump thing. I can't wait to see what other body parts I can bruise by Friday! This is my best start yet; the marks go well with the finger-nail-raking scratches my two-year old gave me today. But I keep coming back for more. --VET Michelle B.

Why I joined? To jumpstart my workout after an injury and inactivity for 8 months.
Why I keep coming back a year and a half later? I am in the best shape of my life! I can't get a workout like this anywhere. And the support of the other campers is what keeps me motivated.
Things to remember: If you keep at it you won't believe what you are capable of next. You will have tough days, but you come back the next day and try harder. Ask for help! Keep pushing yourself. Use your new friends as motivation, support and don't forget they are going through the same thing too. I can't express how much I respect Josh and the other instructors. I am getting married in July and "for better or worse" this body is "By Fit Wit." And I believe that I am in the best shape ever and that makes me feel like a sexy bride. So if you see me slacking - push, er, motivate me. And if I yell, er, motivate you - know that it is out of love!

I'm sore, but loving it so far...stairs have been my enemy this week!

I am using my nose to type this, as every other body part is too sore. Day 3, and I have no regrets! Definitely the push I was looking for to get me up and moving. Shouldn't have taken 6 months off, as I am paying for it now. Looking forward to what is to come.

FitWit kicks ass! I have been sore all week. I have done Operation Bootcamp the past 2 years and it was a 'walk in the park' compared to FitWit. I also realized that I had been doing half of the exercises wrong. The instructors at Operation Bootcamp never taught me the correct form.
I am so glad that I have made the jump over to FitWit.

It was a tough week, but I couldn't be happier with my decision to do it. Thank you so much to everyone for your encouragement. It REALLY does help. I survived week one!!!!!
