Here's a request from the folks at the Grant Park Neighborhood Association:
Dear Friends -
I'm writing to ask you to consider making a personal contribution to Friends of Grant Park Pool to help us meet our goal of raising $50,000.
These funds will be used as the neighborhood's "skin in the game" for the massive renovation and improvements currently underway by the City at Grant Park Pool. I'm sure you're already aware of the work that's nearly complete at the pool - the scheduled opening day is June 21st - but in short, the bathhouse has been completely remodeled, the pool plumbing and filtration systems have been replaced and/or updated, and the pool has a new state-of-the-art lining. Perhaps most significantly for our neighborhood, though, is the improved kiddie-pool which will now have a zero-depth entry (beach entry) and a shade and spray area.
We have had a really successful campaign so far. With gifts large and small from individuals, small businesses, neighborhood groups, and philanthropic foundations, we have raised just over $31,000!
And now for the really good news…The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation has promised us $10,000 as a campaign closing gift if we can simply get to $40,000. We are within sight of closing this campaign and having a wonderful asset for our neighborhood and the community at large. Friends of Grant Park Pool would love to finish our fundraising efforts soon, so that we can turn our attention to community-building activities at the pool such as parties, swim team, and swim lessons.
Would you please make a contribution to the pool today? Of course gifts are tax deductible (FOGPP is a subcommittee of GPNA - a 501c3).
Contributing is so easy on our website - http://www.grantparkpool.org/
Or you can write a check to Friends of Grant Park Pool and get it to me.
Thanks in advance for your support of this effort. I will look forward to seeing you Jump into Your Pool!
