Welcome back people. 40 minuets of work first day back. Josh you are a sick, sick man. Cold, wet and weezing this morning. Not even close to my last TRB time.. Yuck, this one hurt!!!

Yep - I added a minute. Too much Turkey and Dressing! At least it wasn't the mile/ (Although I fully expect it this week.)

YAY! This is one of my favorites!

TRB in the cold, damp nastiness on the tail end of a gluttonous holiday? What's next, March of Death (with a buddy) bracketed by the mile and a sprints in our next 40 minute gathering? Shaved time off of my two round time, but too numb and wet in the fingers to finish the pushups and kettlebell swings of the third round. Dang.

Is there a water-proof Under Armour glove out there? It's been miserable on the fingers out in the cold this year. Bwaaa, how are the Nike ones? Any warmer or more water resistant?

And, yes, after calling out Tall Shelly, I do recognize the hypocrisy of complaining about the weather. But my fingers were cold.

Makes me want to haiku:

Ron Burgandy sucks!
Not the movie or camper . . .
But in the cold, sucks!

Under Armour gloves
Too expensive for them not
To repel water.

Here's one last haiku
So that I will have done three
Which is nice to do.

Greg,

The Nike ones are double layered and do keep my hands warmer but they don't have as much grip. I like the underarmor when it's not wet but love the Nike's for keeping my little fingers from going numb!

Yeah - tough one today especially after the long break. Remember, you can't PR every time out, but you can ask yourself, "Did I give it my all?" If you can honestly answer "yes," then count it as a victory!

Greg said...

I'm gonna get me the Nikes. Cold fingers deplete my mental toughness--what little of it there is--like nothing else. Josh, just keep us outside if I show up in my warm Nike gloves. It would be fun to work out with snow on the ground.

Bwaugh said...

If there is snow on the ground I'll be hugging a pillow and staying warm. That is where I draw the line. Not working out in the snow/sleet!!! I'm not from Ohio so I do not deal with snow very well!!

Great job everyone with the Ron Burgundy. Especially, in the cold. Let's bundle up, and keep working hard the rest of the week! Shout out to my 9:30 ladies who worked super hard yesterday! Keep it up ladies!!!

Dawn,
I think Josh will hold up his promise... there is no timed mile this camp! I'm sure you're happy to hear that...But, we have some good running workouts to replace it though...(evil laugh muhahahaha) ;)
