8 x [100 meter run forward and then run it backwards] Complete 15 seconds of pushups every 45 seconds and deduct total pushup count from your time.

No, running backwards is good! It burns more calories, as you have to use your core more for balance... plus you strengthen your core and use your leg muscles in a different fashion. Best to do this on a track though; not recommend for your neighborhood runs!
