
Mark came to FitWit with primarily a running background, but now he has added much to his fitness repertoire. Famous for smoking the mile run and dusting guys 15 years younger than he.
How did you hear about FitWit? My neighbor, Esra, talked me into joining.
First Camp Date? September 2006
Favorite workout? Tour of Grant Park. Did you think I’d say the “mile”??
Least favorite workout? Anything that involves burpees! Which seems to be about all of them, right?
Favorite movie? Raiders of the Lost Ark (the original); the old 80’s teen comedies like Sixteen Candles and Weird Science
Favorite travel destination? Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Favorite Food? Pie, cake, ice cream, chocolate…..(my incentive to keep coming to FitWit)
Fitness Goals? (1)To work on my upper body, including completing at least 10 unassisted pull ups. (2) To be consistent and continually improve in every workout. (3) At least 1 second faster on the mile, and beat Kevin just once! (4) Do a Sprint Triathlon this year.
Something cool we don’t know about you? The coolest thing about me is my 7 year old, Jacob. He keeps me grounded and focused on the truly important things in life.
Why do you FitWit? It’s addictive. I’m in the best shape of my life. I feel better, I have much more energy and my overall health has improved. Just ask my doctor…he can’t believe it! Being a runner for most of my life, I love it that I’ve posted personal records in my half-marathon, 10K and 5K times since hitting 40 and joining FitWit. Plus, the camaraderie is great – I’ve made some good friends. And a HUGE thanks to Josh…you’re my hero!
