1. How did you hear about FitWit?
I heard about FitWit from my wife, Michelle, who attends the 6:00pm session. After she attended her first session and showed a clear improvement in fitness, I decided that I’d better get my cheeks (lovingly named Ben & Jerry) into camp.
2. First Camp Date?
September 2006. Same start date as my arch-nemesis, Mark.
3. Favorite workout?
Mark vs. Jess. When I’m winning.
4. Least favorite workout?
Mark vs. Jess. When I’m losing.
5. Favorite book?
Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. Big alien bugs, physics, and lots of ‘splosions!
6. Favorite movie?
Groundhog Day. Bill Murray at his best.
7. Favorite band/singer?
The Backyardigans. When you have kids you too will come to realize the musical genius that is The Backyardigans. Rock on, Pablo! :-)
8. Favorite travel destination?
Bend, Oregon. Not because the place is so cool (which it is) but rather my dad and his wife take complete control of our two offspring and Michelle and I get to take a much needed break. Bend also has lots of out-doorsy stuff to do like ski, hike, kayak, bike, etc.
9. Favorite Food?
Chocolate. I really like dark chocolate but I’m no snob – I’ll eat the milk variety too. As for a clear favorite, it’s a toss up: Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter vs. Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Who can choose?
10. Fitness Goals?
Three goals: To kick Mark’s ass in the mile, to kick Bryan’s ass in pull-ups, and to kick Jerome’s ass in anything. Cheatin’ bastards!
11. Words to live by/Favorite Quote?
“The b*tch hit me with a toaster!!!” – Frank Cross (Bill Murray) from Scrooged
12. Something cool we don’t know about you?
13. Why do you FitWit?
So that I can keep up with our two girls: Alessia and Maia. Honestly, doing FitWit gives the energy to get through a whole day of work and still have enough juice to play with the girls until they go to bed. Before FitWit, I was completely exhausted by 4:00pm each day. Doing Fitwit makes me a better dad.
