Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will...

A haiku toast for our leader/motivator/tomentor/friend/supporter/leader Josh as he turns one year older today.

Sara N. wraps up
To protect her from the cold
Even cars need warmth

Working with our friends
Celebrating together
Getting things wrapped up

Happy Birthday Josh
Since we could not buy a car
We packaged yours up!

Unbelievable! I really didn't pin that on boot camp people or I would have said something about it this morning. I thought it was the work of some neighbors.

I was pissed because I thought I was going to be late to camp, and I was dragging that stuff all the way to Southside.

A bit surprised not to see the Green Demon out there? She's in the shop hoping to get her to pass the emission test.

Regardless - very funny work . . .now who be the Dukes?

One more thing . . . to those of you who saran wrapped my car last night - Payback comes on Friday in the form of 7 letters.

That's right - count it out on your fingers. You know what it spells.

See you at Grant Park on Friday!

What about those of us who didn't saran wrap your car? Do we have to suffer the 7 letter payback as well?

For a Jessica Waiver - I might know who did it....and I was not involved. My alibi is airtight.

Heather and Tonya,

How come you didn't include me in your hijinx with Josh's car? Is it because I'm not yet a SUPER vet? I'm tired of being discriminated against because this is only my THIRD camp. First I get shunned at camp and then I get left out of the shenanigans.

Just because I'm an old married fart with a kid does not mean I don't enjoy some mischief from time to time. Hell, you practically would have had to drive past my house to get to Josh's.

Good job, though. I might have recommended shaving cream and/or silly string, if I had been involved, but good job. By the way, how many boxes of Saran Wrap did you guys use?

And good job by Man Jess on the haikus. I talked to Josh and he swore the haikus were mine, but I told him what better way to "frame" an otherwise innocent guy than to write in haiku--my signature calling card.

Long live the mischievous "dooks" (sorry, the Tar Heel in me just can't type that word with the other spelling.)

So who were the dooks?

And why do I have to run a Jessica?

Man Jess,

I about spit my drink out laughing at that post. Clever photo-shopping, indeed.

damn, how do I get in the cool kids club?!?!?!?

Nice try kids - but I have photo evidence, internet time scoring of a race in North Carolina and newspaper coverage to back up my whereabouts. Not to mention - last time I checked....Luke dook does not have the arms of a large black man.
While I would have loved to have been included in such fun, alas it seems I have been pushed out of the inner circle.
So - I vote the dooks of hazzard get to drag a tire, carry a buddy or just plain skip while they do the jess.
psst - don't leave me out of the fun next time.
