Thanks for using me as wind resistance, Tonya. Even though you benefitted from "drafting" the big vaccuum of air my body created for three laps, I was inspired to try and catch you after you passed me en route to a PB this morning.
Speaking of PB's, congrats to camp record holder, Jeromeo, with his Five Minute Fifty Two second run. That boy is fast.
And a haiku:
Fifty Two Eighty It sounds better than, "THE MILE" Marnggie tomorrow?
This is not about fitwit. If you can give any ideas or suggestions about a wedding in Orlando or Atlanta I would appreciate it. No funny banter required; just honest help. Thanks.
The Atl Botanical Garden has a really nice outdoor space overlooking the park and Paris on Ponce (Orange Bldg) has a funky/fun reception hall that’s holds I think 150. Checked on it for a party one time I think the rental was $1,500.00 for 4 hours includes all table and chairs.
if i were the marrying kind... - this is who i'd use for a photog (know people who have the MOST amazing and unique photographs from their wedding earlier this year) - http://www.ourlaboroflove.com/
hey josh/tk--- can you move my Nov. 16th time up to where my name is in the 7am group so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle? (and i will be able to find it later after i have forgotten). thanks.
on another note, considering how i felt running the mile this morning, i would say it now officially looks like it takes me more than a day to recover from saturday night drinking...
also, i found out today that cortazone injections in the bottom of your foot hurt like hell; if they tell you otherwise, they are LYING! i'll let you know if it's worth it.
TK: A great site in Orlando is the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. It's downtown, 3 little B&B spaces on a lake with a really pretty brick courtyard in the middle. Charm galore. Also the Maitland Art Center is very nice for something small. (Both are outdoor sites.)
I missed the mile and I don't know if I am really that bummed. I've been out of town for work the past two miles. I have been trying to get myself psyched up to run the sub 7 minute mile I haven't run in about 6 years. I guess I have a little while longer to prepare mentally now, as it is so much a mental challange as well as physical.
About the wedding, a friend of mine had the reception on the roof top of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce which is near Centennial Park. Great skyline view. It's outdoors though, so the season would affect whether it's a good idea or not.
I dunno. I ran my best mile time thus far, but alas the flu I've been feeling got the best of me. I wanna try the alotta tabata without the mile in front.
I missed the mile, but ran it on my own time on a route I mapped out around Grant Park! 8:41... Do I get some sort of handicap for there being hills?? haha
