Meet the new nutritionist!

Hello boot campers!

My name is Jane Reinberg and I am a Certified Holistic Nutritional Counselor based in Atlanta, GA, accredited with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I received my training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City where I studied Eastern/Western nutrition and modern health counseling. I also hold a B.A. in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

I am very excited to be a part of FitWit and look forward to supporting you with keeping on track with your food logs and answering any nutrition-related questions you may have.

Before becoming a nutritional counselor, I worked for many years in the corporate world, so I know first-hand how the demands and stresses of a busy lifestyle can affect your health. My goal is to inspire, guide and transform. I love to help people get excited about healthy living and educate them on various nutritional theories and practices so that they can achieve their health goals and lead more balanced, joy-filled lives.

By making sustainable food, exercise and lifestyle modifications I know that you can be healthy, feel great, and have the life you’ve always wanted. Now doesn’t that sound amazing?

To learn more about me and what I do, please visit my website at www.janereinberg.com.

I keep the website up to date with a few blog entries every week, related to nutrition, spirituality and lifestyle, so check back often. I am passionate about what I do and know that by exercising and eating well, you can take control of your own health.

In addition to supporting you with your food logs and questions, I also offer one-on-one nutritional counseling. Please send me an email if you would like to learn more.

My email address is jane@janereinberg.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

All my best,

Jane

FitWit Spring Trip

From Dr. Ed . . .

"We are organizing a group trip to the Caribbean to show off your FitWit sculpted body! Get motivated by setting a goal to look good in a swimsuit by April! If you would be interested in taking our fun group trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic either 4/3-4/6 or 4/10 - 4/13 , please post to comments to answer a few questions that we will need to organize the trip."
  1. Would you interested in taking the trip? (Estimated cost is approximately $600 - $699 per person, for 3 nights, all inclusive to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic). Trip is all-inclusive, covering flights, all food, drinks and tips). Exact trip price is based on number of attendees.
  2. Would you be able to committ to the $250/person deposit due before the end of January 08? (With remainder due 60-days before travel date)
  3. Including yourself, how many total people could you be bringing?
  4. Which dates are better for you? 4/3 - 4/6 or 4/10 - 4/13?
  5. Additional Comments:

FitWit Running Club

From Jelena . . .

I've mapped out 2 routes for our Saturday run - we decided that we would do 2 different loops (to prevent boring repetition) but that it would be "figure 8" mentality so that we can stop and drop the lower mileage people off before we finish off the 9 miles.

8:30 a.m. start time. Let's meet in FRONT of Serap's loft complex in Reynoldstown/Cabbagetown - so Park on Wylie St in front of Milltown lofts.

Call us if needed if you haven't been before - 404.509.1032 is my #.

791 wylie st, unit 401
It's easiest to turn onto Pearl from Wylie St and then turn Left on to Field and go through the first Pedestrian entrance at the back using the gate code #8056 - Serap's unit is then the building all the way to the left and at the back.

This is how we're breaking up the 9 miles:

Loop 1 = 5 Miles (yes - you 4 milers last week are bumping up a mile, too)
http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/ga/atlanta/418592022

Loop 2 = 4 Miles
http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/ga/atlanta/16607458

If only I could figure out a way to have the map on my wrist like a QB....Jess, you wanna memorize it and play QB for us? :) :) :) I did try to keep it pretty simple - Loop 1 is essentially a loop in Cabbagetown and then up to L5P and back. Loop 2 is a big square - again, i was going for simple as I don't know how we're going to keep tons of turns in our head - Serap, if you want to play with that Route, feel free (I'm not sure how good the running will be along some of those streets) - I'm hoping the 2nd route is kind of flat-ish - that said, we're in Atlanta - nothing is flat.

Next week - I think I may suggest that we use the "Path" and run to Decatur and back - that's a great thing to run on - we can have a car dropped for the people who are doing less distance, too.
